(VOVworld) - Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan on Friday received outstanding blood donors, who gathered in Hanoi to mark World Blood Day, with the theme “Every Blood Donor Is A Hero”. Ms. Doan praised donors, who show their kindness to assist needy patients: "I warmly commend the 100 outstanding donors who join the campaign to save people’s lives and encourage others to do so. I urged for further incentives and encouragement for them to replicate the campaign”.

On Sunday, the blood donors took part in a programme called “journey to the roots” and offered incense at the Hung Kings Temple in Phu Tho province. They will also attend a blood drive festival on Monday.
