The congress elected 44 members to the Association's Executive Committee for the first five-year term.

Pham Van Thanh, now the Association's President, said, “The Association is established to unite young people with disabilities, create opportunities for them and uphold their abilities to contribute to the common national development. With that mission, we’ll do the utmost to turn the Association into a strong organization, a place for the will, determination, and aspirations of Vietnamese disabled youth.”

After the Congress, the Association will issue and specify the working programs of the term and annual plans to act for the benefit of disabled youth and the community.
