Vietnam attaches importance to human resources development

(VOVworld) – Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan on Sunday attended the conference of the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Youth Union. Nhan stressed the importance of human resources development in all areas. He said the number of trained Vietnamese workers increased from 6 million in 2000 to more than 20 million in 2012 and this will be an important precondition for Vietnam to attract more foreign investment. Nhan said the Party and State of Vietnam pay special attention to human resources development and science and technology with a strategy to develop the country’s work force from 2011 until 2020 and a national program on high-technology development until 2020. Participants also discussed and proposed measures to develop human resources in the years to come.
