(VOVworld)- The 11^th ASEAN- EU Aviation Summit will open in Singapore over the next two days. The Vietnamese delegation, led by Minister of Transport Dinh La Thang, will present a paper on aviation safety. The summit's objective is to enhance political, technical and industrial co-operation between ASEAN and the EU in the aviation sector. Commission Vice-President Siim Kallas, responsible for transport, said the summit marks the beginning of a new era in EU-ASEAN aviation relations. During the two-day conference, participants will discuss their experience in merging aviation markets and eliminating barriers, as well as business prospects and opportunities in ASEAN and the EU, aviation safety, air transport management and potentials for further ASEAN-EU cooperation in the aviation sector.
