Vietnam, Australia foster cooperation
(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnamese National Assembly wants to contribute to fostering Vietnam-Australia strategic partnership, said National Assembly Vice Chairman Phung Quoc Hien at a Monday meeting with Rowan Ramsay, Chair of the Australian Joint Standing Committee on the Parliamentary Library.

Mr. Hien called for more high-level exchanges between the two parliaments, and said he hopes Australia will increase investment in Vietnam’s agriculture and tourism sectors.
The same day, the Australian delegation had a working session with Secretary General and Chairman of the Office of the NA Nguyen Hanh Phuc, who is also Chairman of the Vietnam-Australia Friendship Parliamentarians’ Group. Mr. Phuc said he hopes Vietnam and Australia’s cooperation will become even more effective.
