At talks yesterday, Commander in chief Chen Bingde of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, and chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, Do Ba Ty, who is on an official visit to China, analyzed the regional and global situation and briefed each other on their countries’ economies. Regarding the East Sea issue, both sides agreed to strictly implement signed agreements including the agreement on basic principles guiding the settlement of sea-related issues. They urged each other to prevent dissident forces from sabotaging their solidarity and long-term strategic benefits, causing political instability in both countries.
