(VOVworld)- The 5^th East Asian Seas Congress will be held in Da Nang City from November 16 to 21 with the participation of more than 700 Vietnamese and foreign delegates.

The Congress, organized by the Partnerships in Environmental Management for the Seas of East Asia Organization and its members, is the leading conference on sustainable growth and coastal management around East Asia’s seas. First held in 2003, the Congress takes place every three years. Speaking at a press conference in Hanoi on Wednesday, the Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Chu Pham Ngoc Hien said a number of seminars, forums, exhibitions and field trips would take place within the framework of the event. As the host, Vietnam wants to demonstrate its efforts to build the East Asian seas into an environment of peace, stability, and sustainable development.
