Vietnam aims for trade balance by 2020 |
Experts say that as while Vietnam’s WTO accession affects trade, mechanisms and services, regional and bilateral free trade agreements create trade pressure by reducing import taxes within the ASEAN bloc to 0% by 2018 at the latest. Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade: Nguyen Thanh Bien spoke at the event: "For the next 5 years, we’ll enjoy preferential taxes and open market policies from partners of ASEAN + who signed free trade agreements with the bloc. In the next 4 years, we should take advantage of this to increase competitiveness of our businesses."
