(VOVWORLD) - The sharing economy will help change traditional business methods, heard a workshop in Hanoi on Thursday that discussed trends of the sharing economy and its impact on Vietnam.

Australian experts said that the sharing economy with technology infrastructure will create an opportunity for Vietnam, much like Singapore, Malaysia, and China, to escape the middle-income trap. Nguyen Manh Hai is Head of the Public Policy Department of the Central Institute for Economic Management: “Three decisive factors key to the success of the sharing economy include trained Human Resources, a sound technology infrastructure, and favorable policies for development. The policies should be aimed at encouraging innovation and self-learning.”
The seminar is organized by the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Australian Embassy in Vietnam
