(VOVworld) - Vietnamese
and South Korean politicians and academics gathered in Hanoi to exchange points of views and discuss
orientations to promote bilateral ties, based on their co-achievements over the
past 20 years. The participants at Tuesday’s forum also focused their
discussion on the need to exchange vision and knowledge, to lift the bilateral
strategic partnership to a new level over the next 20 years. Professor Nguyen
Xuan Thang, President of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, said ‘Vietnam and the Republic of Korea
have a great deal of potential and can complement each other during
globalization and international economic integration. Bilateral relations have
also been enhanced by the political determination of both. As a result, after
20 years, ties between Hanoi and Seoul have developed in every
field and have become a good example of bilateral cooperation in the region’.
