(VOvworld)- Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has highlighted the fine development of the Vietnamese- US ties in various aspects. At a meeting with the US Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker in Hanoi on Monday, Dung said that Vietnam wanted to work with the US to further bilateral ties, especially cooperation in economics, trade, and investment. He urged the two sides to tap into cooperation potential in economic and trade to further two way trade turnover in the near future. In regard to TPP negotiation, Prime Minister Dung said that success of the negotiation will bring about practical benefits for all TPP members. He said Vietnam would create the best conditions for US investors and proposed the US supports Vietnam in TPP negotiation and soon recognizes Vietnam’s market economy status. Prime Minister Dung expressed his hope that the US would continue to condemn China’s illegal actions in the East Sea. The US Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker emphasized cooperation potential between Vietnam and the US in aviation, construction and energy. He said he hoped the Vietnamese government would facilitate US investors to do business in Vietnam. He said the US would closely work with countries participating in TPP negotiations including Vietnam to soon complete the negotiation thus enhancing economic cooperation between TPP member countries including the US and Vietnam.
