(VOVworld)- In Hanoi on Monday, Head of the External Relations Commission of the Party Central Committee Hoang Binh Quan received the US’s first Deputy Secretary of State Antony Blinken. Mr. Quan praised the development of bilateral ties over the past 20 years saying that they contributed to the growth of each country, brought practical benefits to both peoples and helped promote peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world. Mr. Quan stressed the importance of strengthening the main contents of the Joint Statement of July, 2013, increasing delegation exchanges and enhancing bilateral cooperation. Mr. Quan suggested the US should be flexible in negotiating the Trans Pacific Partnership Agreement with Vietnam. The two sides also discussed regional and global issues of mutual concerns.
