Participants discussed the opportunities and challenges ahead for Vietnamese enterprises, especially those in the garment, textile, leather footwear, and agriculture sectors, when the agreement is reached. They touched upon how Vietnamese enterprises have become prepared to enter this huge market. Some said the TPP agreement will open the way to a more healthy competition. Le Quang Hung, Chairman of the Board of Management of Saigon Garment Manufacturing Trade Joint Stock Company, spoke at the event: "Entry to the TPP agreement will help us broaden the market and retarget the group of clients that match our capacity the most. The garment and textile industries are no longer dependent on an abundant labor force, so they are investing in machinery, managers, and production skills. Productivity and quality are decisive factors in competition".
