During the talks, General Secretary To Lam praised Malaysia's dynamic progress and expressed his belief that, under Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s leadership, Malaysia would successfully implement its comprehensive development strategies, particularly the "Madani Economy - Empowering the People" framework and the "New Industrial Master Plan 2030". He emphasized Vietnam’s high regard and priority for strengthening its relationship with Malaysia.

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim praised Vietnam’s remarkable development, especially in economics and key industries. He said he believed that Vietnam, under the leadership of its Party, State, and General Secretary To Lam, would achieve its development goals.

The two leaders announced the elevation of the Vietnam-Malaysia relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. They engaged in in-depth discussions and agreed on significant measures to enhance cooperation across key areas of this upgraded partnership.

Both sides pledged to strengthen political trust, expand defense and security collaboration, and improve the effectiveness of bilateral ties through various channels, including party, state, government, and parliamentary exchanges. They also underscored the importance of increasing high-level engagements.

Economic connectivity was another key focus, with both leaders agreeing to foster sustainable development and create resources to support the next stage of growth for both nations.

Additionally, they recognized the importance of regular collaboration at multilateral forums, such as ASEAN and the United Nations, and committed to deepening their coordination on international matters.
