Vietnamese PM receives World Bank Managing Director

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has expressed his hope that the World Bank continues its cooperation and assistance for Vietnam, particularly in experience sharing and policy consultation. PM Dung made the statement at a reception for visiting World Bank Managing Director Sri Mulyani Indrawati in Hanoi on Friday. He thanked the Bank for its assistance for Vietnam to weather the impacts of the global economic recession. Mr. Dung said next year Vietnam will continue its policy to control inflation, stabilize the economy and ensure social welfare, while pursuing economic growth and social fairness. The PM called on the World Bank to further cooperate with Vietnam through projects on development goal implementation, poverty reduction, infrastructure and economic restructure.

On Friday afternoon, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong received  World Bank Managing Director Sri Mulyani Indrawati in Hanoi.
