Vietnam introduced Ao Dai (traditional long dresses), the tea making art, conical hat dances, and handicrafts, featuring Vietnam's culture, land and people. International friends and citizens from Stony Brook showed their keen interest in Vietnam's culture through displays and songs and dances presented by Vietnamese girls who are studying at US universities. Many visitors revealed that they will visit Vietnam in the near future to discover the country and its beauty. This is the fifth year the event has been held, creating the chance for Asian countries to introduce US and international friends to their distinctive cultural identities as well as cultural and natural heritage recognized by UNESCO. It also aims to promote mutual understanding among nations.
