Activities are underway throughout Vietnam to mark World AIDS Day, December 1^st. The HIV/AIDS prevention center in Da Nang central city held a meeting for the city’s HIV carriers to provide them with medical advice. The center also presented 100 gifts to HIV/AIDS victims who are living in difficult circumstances. Le Van Thong, one of the beneficiaries, said: “I want to see HIV carrier treated as normal people so they can integrate into the community”.

The public health sector in the central highland province of Dak Lak is promoting communication and education on HIV/AIDS to raise people’s awareness, change behavior and eliminate discrimination against HIV/AIDS infected people.
