Vietnam’s trade surplus reaching 16 billion USD by mid-August
(VOVWORLD) - The first half of August saw Vietnam’s total import-export turnover reaching 28.6 billion USD, of which exports grossed 14.4 billion USD, down 10.8% against last year, according to the General Department of Customs.

Four groups of export items that brought in over 1 billion USD each include phones and components; computers, electronic products and components; garments and textiles; and machinery and equipment.
Vietnam earned an estimated 402 billion USD from import-export activities by mid-August with export reaching more than 209 billion USD and import 193 billion USD.
