Visitors, mainly students, had the chance to watch movies and join a photographic exhibition on education and training in the UK as well as information on study opportunities there. They were also introduced to cultural traditions and customs of Vietnam and the UK through paintings, sculptural works, music performance, and fashion shows. Stephen Agnew, UK Deputy Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City, said: "Today’s event is great symbol of the strength of our relationship and how it will grow every passing day. Beyond visits, we have also held a number of sports and cultural events through the year. A British Week will be held late September in Ho Chi Minh city, Da Nang and Hanoi to foster bilateral cooperation in trade, science and technology, culture and education".
