(VOVworld) – Vo Thi Dung is President of Ho Chi Minh city’s Fatherland Front and deputy head of the city’s delegation of deputies to the National Assembly. She has won the trust of city’s residents with her strong sense of responsibility and dedication to her work. Ngoc Xuan reports:
At the first meeting of the municipal Fatherland Front in 2015 Dung said: “Our main task this year should be overseeing National Assembly deputies and granting licenses for land use and house ownership.”
Based on her proposal, leaders of the city’s 24 districts exchanged ideas for achieving effectiveness while promoting the rights and interests of citizens. Dung never forgets President Ho Chi Minh’s principle that “an official should do whatever it takes to benefit the people and resolutely avoid things that harm their interests.” Dung has been involved in Fatherland Front activities for many years and is always seeking ways to enhance the Front’s role of representing the people’s rights and interests. She says, to do this, Fatherland Front officers should have a strong will, good qualifications, and honor: “Fatherland Front officers must have the courage to say what is wrong and what is right so as to propose ways to address problems. The Fatherland Front should have a widespread network, with every officer fully exercising their duties.”
President of District 7’s Fatherland Front Do Chi Hong said: “Dung has the ability to persuade people. When chairing a meeting, she motivates everyone and creates a good working environment.”
Dung always reserves time to listen to citizens’ opinions and concerns and forward them to authorized agencies for proper solutions. Tran Tan Hung, Vice President of the city’s Fatherland Front, said: “Dung has a strong sense of responsibility and is dedicated to her work. She is decisive and not afraid to voice her objection to injustices to protect citizens’ legitimate rights.”
Dedicated and competent Fatherland Front officers like Dung are the key to consolidating national unity, strengthening the people’s trust in the leadership of the Party and state, and improving the role and status of the Fatherland Front in Vietnam’s political system.
