On October 30, 2018, the Can Tho municipal People’s Court held a trial for the divorce case between Mrs. Nguyen Thi Ai My as the petitioner and Mr. Nguyen Thanh Van as the respondent.

In the Decree of Divorce (No. 127/2018/HNGD-ST) dated October 30, 2018, the court’s judgments were stated as followed:

1.     Marital relationship:  It is ordered and decreed by the Court that Mrs. Nguyen Thi Ai My and Mr. Nguyen Thanh Van are divorced and that the marriage between them is dissolved.

2.     Children, shared asset and liability: Mrs. Nguyen Thi Ai My and Mr. Nguyen Thanh Van are known to have no child and shared asset and liability. They are entitled to file a complaint to the court later if any dispute arises.

3.     Right of appeal: Mrs. Nguyen Thi Ai My has the right to file an appeal against the Court’s ruling within 15 days after the decree is announced. The duration for Mr. Nguyen Thanh Van to file an appeal against the Court’s ruling is 1 month after the decree is announced.

4.     The Court also issued a ruling on the court fee.

Note: The appeal against the Court’s ruling should be submitted to the higher People’s Court of Ho Chi Minh City.
