Hanoi is drier and cooler after the monsoon season. When autumn comes, Hanoi streets are filled with golden sunshine. The weather is mild and pleasant, ideal for walking around. The streets take on a more peaceful feeling.
That’s why many foreigners decide to visit Hanoi in the autumn. American news channel CNN advises Hanoi visitors to explore the city’s streets and alleys on foot or by motorbike.
According to CNN, a motorbike tour through the quarter dotted with ancient houses, French colonial buildings, cafes and food stalls is also a must-try experience.
The US-based news site highly recommended visitors ramble around the city's Old Quarter with its historical streets and shops trading in jewelery, fabrics and flowers.

These days you can see groups of women on tree-lined streets like Phan Dinh Phung, Hoang Dieu, and Tran Phu, and beside Cua Bac church, St. Joseph's cathedral, and Thang Long Imperial Citadel, taking photos to capture these beautiful autumn moments. Bicycles laden with colorful bouquets of flowers and women in graceful ao dai (long dresses) beautify each street corner.
Hanoi in autumn is beautiful and has a unique atmosphere that is unlike anywhere else. The atmosphere is created from the sweet fragrance of milky flowers in the wind, the scent of ripe dracontomelon, and young sticky rice, the quintessence of the capital city, wrapped in fresh lotus leaves.
