The Ba Ria-Vung Tau provincial Tourism Association said that since early this month the province has been receiving 2,000-3,000 tourists on week days and 10,000 tourists on Saturday and Sunday.
Vice Chairman of the Association Hoang Ngoc Linh said that once northern provinces lift their social distancing rules, the number of tourists coming to Ba Ria-Vung Tau will surge.
“Traveling to Ba Ria-Vung Tau province is convenient by any means of transportation. Given the current situation, tourists prefer short tours, so Ba Ria – Vung Tau is a good choice,” said Linh.
Tran Thi Thu Hien, Deputy Director of Ba Ria – Vung Tau’s Tourism Department, said from now to the national holiday on April 30th, Vung Tau city will receive an increasing number of tourists.
“Spring in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province is beautiful. If the COVID-19 pandemic remains under control, we expect to receive lots of tourists between now and April 30th,” said Hien.
The province has encouraged businesses to launch promotional programs, offer additional services, and join national and regional tourism marketing campaigns.

Quang Ninh province, a northern tourism hub, is preparing to welcome tourists once the COVID-19 pandemic subsides. Tickets to Ha Long Bay and other scenic spots are discounted 50% on week days and are free on the weekend.
The provincial Department of Tourism is working with the Tourism Association and individual tourism businesses to resolve difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
