(VOVWORLD) - Launched late last month, the "Make in Vietnam Digital Technology Product" Award 2023 aims to honor outstanding digital technology products. These products should demonstrate Vietnamese talent, have a great impact and influence on bringing activities of individuals and businesses to the digital environment, and contribute to promoting a digital government, digital economy and digital society in Vietnam.

"Make in Vietnam Digital Technology Product" Award is one of the activities meant to realize the Prime Minister's Directive on Promoting the Development of Vietnamese digital technology businesses.
This year’s Award will also honor the businesses with excellent digital technology products, services and solutions that have been successful in foreign markets and contribute to world-wide development and prosperity in Vietnam.
Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Huy Dung, Vice Head of the Organizing Board, said that 2023 is identified as the year of national digital data, the year of creating practical results that are widely and universally used, and the year that Vietnam's digital technology industry and digital technology products go abroad and conquer the world.
“I call on Vietnamese digital technology businesses to strongly respond to the program so that we can locate and honor the best Make in Vietnam products and bring Vietnamese talent and pride to the world to address specific real-life issues in Vietnam and internationally,” said Dung.

Since the project was launched in 2019, many products have been discovered and acknowledged, such as financial management platform MISA, cloud computing platform FPT Cloud, IoT Platform, and digital transformation platform base.vn.
More than 30% of the recognized Make in Vietnam products from 2020 have been widely used in daily life, said Hoang Quang Phong, Deputy Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI).
He praised the products by individuals and businesses that have responded to the program and won the awards over the past years.
“It can be said that these products have truly become part of daily life, held practical significance in the digital transformation and application in Vietnam’s economy and society. Our foreign friends have spoken highly of the Make in Vietnam products for their widespread application. As a representative of the business community and associations, we are committed to accompanying businesses in promoting and commercializing products,” Phong noted.
Pursuant to the criteria of design, creativity, and manufacturing in Vietnam, the award has brought businesses and people's activities to the digital environment and contributed to the realization of the 3 pillars of Vietnam's digital transformation - digital government, digital economy, and digital society.
The award has also inspired the domestic digital business community and helped them maintain their position in the domestic market and reach the world market.

Le Hong Viet, CEO of FPT Smart Cloud, which last year won the gold award in the category “Excellent digital product for the digital economy”, said that the award is extremely important to those engaged in technology.
“After receiving the award, FPT Smart Cloud's products have continuously grown up to 300%. In the past when it came to IT products, people immediately thought of foreign products. But now Vietnamese products have become one of their options and competitive with those of foreign tech-giants,” he said.
Viet noted that the award is the recognition of the brand "Make in Vietnam" which has been increasingly influential.
Over the years, many products awarded the "Make in Vietnam Digital Product" title have proved their remarkable development, with Rynan Technologies Vietnam as an example.
Winning the Gold Prize of last year’s Make in Vietnam Award for the smart Insect Monitoring System (IMS), the digital product has been applied to the agricultural and fisheries sector and has been used in 13 Mekong Delta provinces and nearly 100 locations in Japan.
The success and considerable development of Vietnamese digital businesses with the award-winning products has greatly influenced the domestic IT business community, helping more and more Vietnamese businesses confidently go abroad.
