(VOVworld) – The 2016 action month for children was launched on Saturday in Ha Long city, Quang Ninh province. Under the theme “For safe lives, preventing accidents and injuries for children”, the action month aims to raise people’s awareness of preventing any child accident and injury and calls for better care for children.

Vice State President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh spoke at the launching ceremony: “Ministries, sectors, and localities should have their own measures to carry out the programs on accidents and injuries prevention for children in the period of 2016 to 2020. It is essential to examine possible causes for accidents and injuries in families, schools and the community. It is necessary to raise people’s awareness of taking care of their children and creating the best possible environment for children to live in”.
