(VOVworld)-Thousands of fireworks brightened the sky of the central city of Da Nang on Sunday night in a spectacular show marking the start of the 2017 Da Nang International Firework Festival. Themed “Shining Marble Mountains”, this year’s event involves 8 teams from the UK, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Australia, Japan, China and Viet Nam.

“We are doing our best to turn the firework festival into a signature festivity of Da Nang. It should become a spotlight in our toursim service”, said Huynh Duc Tho, Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Commitee.

“This is the first time I’ve watched a fireworks display. It’s amazing and impressive”, said Nguyen Van Hieu, a reveler from Thanh Hoa province.   

The festival will run until June 24 with 5 performances namely Fire, Earth , Metal, Water and Wood.
