The event was co-organized by the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences and Vietnam National University, Hanoi. At the event, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung reviewed remarkable achievements Vietnam has made after 25 years of renovation process under the leadership of Vietnam Communist party. He also pointes out ways for Vietnam’s sustainable development: "Promoting international integration in science and technology in general and social and humanitarian sciences in particular is important in Vietnam’s international integration policy. This seminar is meaningful promoting international integration on science and technology. This is an opportunity for scientists and Vietnamese government to share research results and Vietnam’s development experience based on new position and status. This helps make Vietnam known to world not only as an example of heroic struggles for national independence, a country with rich cultural values but also an integrated and successful Vietnam".

The Prime Minister hoped that the seminar will give out measures and specific policies to boost Vietnam’s integration and sustainable development. The seminar will focus on sustainable development, international integration and promoting the development and international integration of Vietnamese studies.
