67th anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army
Vietnam today marked the 67th anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army and the 22nd anniversary of National Resistance Day. Various activities are underway to celebrate the event. The People’s Army newspaper published an editorial about the army, which originated from the people and is for the people. The article says that Vietnam ’s renewal process, along with increasing vigilance and the will to protect the Party, Government and People’s revolutionary cause, the Army has actively participated in the national socio-economic development. It has gone to disadvantaged, remote and island areas to help the local people build political facilities, ensure social security and join hands in poverty reduction. The editorial stressed that there’s an immutable rule to help the Army fulfill its historical mission in the new revolutionary period - the Army should be absolutely led by the Party.
The northern port city of Hai Phong , exhibited 300 photos and related materials describe the Vietnam People’s Army and its development over the past 67 years.
