(VOVworld) – Activities have been held nationwide to mark the 81st anniversary of the Vietnam Youth Union, on March 26th.

The Hanoi Youth Union yesterday honored outstanding young people, including Nguyen Phuong Quang, who has shone in his farm work. Quang elaborated: "I am very happy that young people in rural areas now can bring into full play their ability to develop the economy with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Youth Union. This also serves as an impetus for me to do more for economic development".
At a ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City yesterday, Deputy Secretary of the municipal Party Committee, Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, expressed her confidence that local youth will perform practical activities to effectively fulfil socio-economic development tasks: "The Municipal Youth Union needs to encourage young people to take the lead in health care, vocational orientation counseling, building and developing the city. It is necessary to honor useful initiatives for the city’s youth movements".
The Ha Giang provincial Youth Union also organized a festival themed Ha Giang Youth with Traffic Culture 2012.
