(VOVworld) - Activities to mark Vietnam Family Day are underway throughout the country. “Connecting love in Vietnamese families” is the theme of this year’s Vietnam Family Day that is taking place in Hanoi from June 23 to 29. The event featured a wide range of activities, including exhibitions, cultural exchanges, meetings, and art performances. Vietnam's national radio station - Voice of Vietnam broadcast a special radio program on Thursday to highlight the importance of family traditions. The program also examined the challenges that Vietnamese families may encounter and recommended solutions to promote family strengths in the period of international integration. A ceremony to celebrate Vietnam Family Day will be held at the Hanoi Opera House on Friday. Visitors can enjoy exhibitions displaying images of Vietnamese families and activities promoting a healthy lifestyle and learning traditions.Ho Chi Minh City’s People’s Committee held a meeting to honor 128 outstanding families representing thousands of happy families in the city. Tran Van Binh in district 7 was one of the people honored on this occasion. Binh says:“I’m very proud and happy to receive this title. Each family is a cell in society. Good families make for a good society. I hope other families in Vietnam will also be happy”.

A festival of Sport Families was held in Soc Trang province to mark the occasion. 130 families attended the event.
