(VOVworld) - The Ministry of Information and Communications has launched a book on cooperation for joint development in sea areas abiding by international law and practice. This is part of the Ministry’s project to promote public awareness on sustainable development, management and the protection of Vietnamese sea and islands. The book written by the Dean of the International Law Faculty of Hanoi National University, Nguyen Ba Dien, provides basic theory and practices for joint cooperation and exploitation within international maritime law. It covers cooperative models, basis for joint exploitation in the East Sea, existing maritime cooperation treaties and recommendations for Vietnam.
