(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc hosted a reception for a delegation of the US-ASEAN Business Council, led by Mr. Keith Williams, in Hanoi on Tuesday.

Mr. Phuc said the Vietnamese Party and state valued multifaceted cooperation with the US, particularly in economics, trade, and investment. He said that Vietnamese agencies are removing obstacles to the promotion of trade, investment, and tourism and called on the Council to provide continued support to Vietnamese businesses. Mr. Phuc asked the Council to work closely with Vietnam to promote cooperation within the framework of the TPP and welcomed its support for small and medium-sized enterprises. He said that there should be effective ways to strengthen coordination between ASEAN and Vietnamese businesses. He also said he hoped the US would soon ratify the TPP.
