(VOVworld) – The ongoing Central Highlands Cultural Days in Hanoi is featuring the cultural identities of the region through exhibits, fairs, seminars, and cultural exchanges.
Themed “Central Highlands – Cultural Colors”, the event, which opened yesterday, brought together 300 artists and artisans from Dak Lak, Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Dak Nong, and Lam Dong. Ho Anh Tuan, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, spoke at the opening ceremony: "The Central Highlands’ superb landscape, unique culture, and dynamic people, which have inspired literature, music, and painting, are now recreated in Hanoi. We hope the festival will bring visitors closer to the region with better understanding, help preserve the region’s cultural values and boost its socio-economic growth".
Visitors were given an overall introduction to the Central Highlands’ traditional culture through an exhibition which showcased ethnic traditional costumes, gongs, tools, musical instruments, and items used in local ritual ceremonies.
The festival will run until Sunday.
