China strengthens ties with VN's friendship organizations
(VOVworld)- China attaches a great deal of importance to its friendship and cooperation with neighboring countries, including Vietnam. The Vice President of the Chinese People’s Association for Peace and Disarmament Li Wuwei stated this during his meeting with the Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations, Nguyen Van Kien in Hanoi on Wednesday.

Mr. Li Wuwei said: "As China’s largest peace group, the Chinese People’s Association for Peace and Disarmament always supports the party and the state council’s policy of developing relations with peace groups in neighboring countries. This creates a better regional and international environment for cooperation and development. We always prioritize developing our cooperative relationships with Vietnamese friendship organizations and hope that with a joint effort from both countries; we can continue to boost bilateral ties. This will also contribute to stability and peace in the region."
Later the same day, Mr. Li Wuwei and his delegation held talks with National Assembly chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung. When addressing the meeting, Mr. Hung reiterated that the Vietnamese government and party will do its utmost to foster a Vietnam-Sino strategic cooperative partnership for peace and the development of both countries. He added that Vietnam’s National Assembly wants to step up cooperation with the Chinese National People’s Congress. Earlier, Li Wuwei, who is on a three-day visit to Vietnam at the invitation of the Vietnam Peace Committee, also held talks with the committee’s chairman Uong Chu Luu.
