Cultural and art performances to celebrate the National Day
(VOVWORLD) -Lai Chau province has hosted a festival of ethnic culture to celebrate the Independence Day on September 2 and strengthen local community unity.

Visitors joined art performances, explorative tours and adventurous trips to mountainous destination. Vice Chairwoman of Tam Duong District People’s Committee, Tan Thi Que, briefed us on a tea leaves peaking contest: “The contest aims to promote the talented skills of tea producers and farmers while encouraging high-quality tea farming techniques. We want to promote a culture of mutual learning and experience sharing to achieve VietGap farming standards.”

Numerous cultural and folk games shows took place in Dien Bien Phu Victory Monument on September 2. Ethnic minorities in their colorful costumes flocked to the festival for celebration. Lu Thi Nhung from Thanh Yen commune, Dien Bien province: “It’s a great of fun to join folk games. It’s a good way to strengthen team work and local unity in the games.”
Thua Thien Hue province held a rowing competition on Perfume River on Saturday, gathering nearly 200 rowers competing in 9 groups.
Ho Chi Minh City held a collective wedding ceremony for 100 couples on Friday. The event organized by Workers Support Center provided meaningful wedding moment for couples with difficulties on the Independence Day.
