(VOVworld)- A workshop on the role of cultural diplomacy in supporting provincial sustainable development and international integration has been held in the central city of Hue as part of the ongoing Hue festival.

The participants on Monday discussed preserving and promoting heritages and ways to promote Hue’s image. "As a Palestinian who has been living and working in Vietnam, I think Vietnam should strengthen cultural relations with other countries in the world because culture serves as a firm foundation to expand economic relations. Hue festival is an evidence for Vietnam’s efforts to promote its cultures and introduce foreign cultures to Vietnamese people. I believe that Vietnam will continue facilitating foreign art troupes to Vietnam, especially those from Arab countries. Palestine is always ready to stand by Vietnam", said Mr. Saadi Salama, the Palestinian Ambassador to Vietnam.
At the seminar, Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Thanh Son highlighted the development of cultural diplomacy which has helped to promote Vietnam, its land and people to the rest of the world.
