The European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam has launched the fourth edition of its “White Book on Trade and Investment Issues & Recommendations”. The EuroCham’s 2012 White Book summarizes the key issues affecting the business climate for European businesses in Vietnam . It says Vietnam made progress in improving its macro-economic environment and creating a legal framework that benefits investors, but some European companies have faced difficulties in investment project licensing, asset registration, and safeguarding intellectual property rights. The White Book urges the State Bank of Vietnam to accelerate market reform and strengthen the banking sector, focusing on improving quality rather than quantity.
