(VOVworld)-The 2013 International East-West Economic Corridor Trade and Tourism Fair opened today/ on Thursday at the Da Nang International Exhibition Fair Center.

The fair aims to promote investment, trade, and tourism for countries along the East-West Economic Corridor (EWEC) and provide chances for businesses in Viet Nam, Laos and Thailand to seek opportunities for investment and market expansion. Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Tran Tuan Anh was addressing the opening ceremony: “The participation of 280 businesses from the many countries of the East-West Economic Corridor, as well as partner countries  at this International East-West Trade and Tourism Fair has provided vivid evidence of the  attraction,  as well as the potential for cooperation and economic development of Da Nang in particular and the whole Central region in general.”

The fair attracts 500 pavilions set up by more than 280 domestic and foreign businesses including a variety of products such as electronics, shoes, interior decoration, furniture, food processing, textiles and school facilities.
