Female workers contribute nearly 90 billion USD annually to APEC economies
(VOVWORLD) -Deputy Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Hong Lan has praised the information technological revolution as an opportunity for female workers to achieve their fullest potential.
The Deputy Minister was speaking in the second APEC Policy Partnership on Women and the Economy Meeting in Hue city on Wednesday: “Ever changing economies have brought about lots of opportunities and challenges requiring women to find out ways to better participate in economic activities to develop the best of their potential. Delegates will make recommendations and solutions to achieve this target.”
APEC economies have some 600 million female workers, with 60% of them working in the official sectors, generating nearly 90 billion USD annually.
