(VOVworld) - The 2012 singing and dancing festival of religious followers opened on Saturday night in Da Nang city. Nearly 800 amateur artists, who are religious dignitaries and followers, took part in the performance, which showed love for the country, people and life. The festival aims at promoting exchanges  between religious groups and strengthening national solidarity. Superior Buddhist monk Thich Thue Vinh said: "This is a good opportunity for all religions created by leaders the Fatherland Front, the Party and City of Da Nang. It shows that our state always cares for religious groups' spiritual lives."
