(VOVworld) – A contest on Vietnam’s history was launched on Sunday in Hanoi to mark the 71st anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization and the 122nd birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh. Participants had to show their understanding of national history, including prominent figures, Vietnamese people’s heroism and fighting will as well as their efforts for national construction and defence. 1 first prize, 2 second prizes and 3 third prizes were awarded. Nguyen Thuy Trang from Duong Xa secondary school in Hanoi’s Gia Lam district is one of contestants: “This contest makes me love my country and home town more. We are proud to be a Vietnamese, whose country is rich in tradition and history. I want more contests like this to be held to remind young people of their origins.
