(VOVworld) –Vietnam celebrates International Day of Happiness, March 20th with a wide range of activities. Ho Chi Minh City authorities are holding a series of events starting Monday to raise public awareness on the history, meaning, and theme of International Day of Happiness. City leaders called on the public to get involved in building prosperous, democratic, and happy communities. Mrs. Nguyen Thi Can, a resident of Binh Thanh district, Ho Chi Minh City said: “I think people need to share love and happiness. ‘The good leaves protect the tattered ones’. We need to educate the younger generation to obey the laws to build an equal and civilized society all over the world.”
In Quang Ngai, the provincial Women’s Union donated 10 houses to poor women and 20 bicycles to poor students.
This is the third year Vietnam has celebrated International Day of Happiness, which continues the 2015 theme “Love and Share”.
