(VOVworld)- A conference on strengthening coordination in judicial assistance for the poor opened in HCM City on Saturday. In his address, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc stressed the importance of legal assistance, especially for social beneficiaries, the poor and the disadvantaged. "The State and society pay special attention to providing legal assistance for the public, especially for the poor. As a result, the Vietnam Association of Legal Support for the Poor was set up. The association is to coordinate with the state and society to provide legal support for the poor", said Deputy PM Phuc.

The Association of Legal Support for the Poor has set up 6 centers to deal with thousands of legal consultancy cases.
