Maps and documents of Vietnam’s Hoang Sa and Truong Sa exhibited

(VOVworld) -  Hanoi’s People’s Committee organizes an exhibition entitled “Vietnam’s Hoang Sa, Truong Sa – Historical evidence” proving Vietnam’s sovereignty over the two archipelagos.

The exhibits cover the period from the early 17th century to the end of the 19th century when Vietnam confirmed and exercised its sovereignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa. The exhibition also introduces Vietnam’s new administrative map.
On display are 58 maps, 33 documents, 31 books and articles about Hoang Sa and Truong Sa, and 100 photos of Hanoi’s delegations visiting Truong Sa and the life on these islands. The maps are divided into 4 groups including maps issued by Vietnam, China, and western countries and historical data of Hoang Sa.
