(VOVworld) - An investment promotion conference for the Mekong River Delta has opened in the southern province of Soc Trang.

Delegates have received update information about investment policies in agriculture and rural development. They discussed solutions to ensure sustainable production, improve productivity and farmers’ living standards.
Deputy Chief of the Southwestern Steering Committee, Nguyen Phong Quang, said that the region will focus on potential products such as rice, fruits, and fisheries: “The conference will call for investment in regional potential industries, especially agricultural and rural development, scientific and high-tech applications in agriculture, restructuring and regional connectivity for more added values.”
