More measures are needed for Vietnam e-government
(VOVworld) - The 10th Vietnam e-government symposium 2012 under the theme “E-government development: Greater Transparency, higher quality services for the people” is underway in Hanoi.
The use of IT application in public administrative activities as well as establishing e-government in Vietnam has continued to grow rapidly this year. 96.6% of the government bodies have their own website, all provinces have their website, and 83.6% of the legal normative documents have been posted on the web. The government has built an action plan and set up the national targets for building e-government by 2015. Minister of Information and Telecommunication, Nguyen Bac Son: "In State administration, IT has become a useful tool helping raise efficiency of the administrative system, improve the system’s quality and save cost and time. IT application in administrative agencies has been popular in Vietnam and the world".
