(VOVworld) - The National Assembly Standing Committee opened its 16^th session in Hanoi on Monday. Speaking at the opening, Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung said that during the 5-day meeting the Committee would discuss revisions of 8 laws and ordinances including the bills on Value-added Tax and Corporate Income Tax in order to solve obstacles in the way of the production businesses.

On Friday, the Committee will hold a Q&A session with the President of the People’s Supreme Court and Minister of Education and Training. The Committee will seek opinions on preparing for a vote of confidence for officials elected or appointed by the NA, to be held at the coming 5^th meeting. Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung says: "In order to successfully conduct a vote of confidence in officials elected or appointed by the NA, we need to prepare a thorough plan. This is the first time we have organized a vote of confidence in this way, so we have to ensure its quality is in line with the spirit of the NA’s resolution."
