(VOVworld) – The Ministry of Culture, Sport, and Tourism and Hai Phong City People’s Committee have introduced a National Tourism Year themed “The Red River Delta civilization”. Minister Hoang Tuan Anh said this annual event aims to create a yearly tourist highlight in connection with major events in Vietnam. The National Tourism Year will uphold and promote cultural and historical values and connect heritages, and biosphere reserves in the Red River Delta with others nationwide for sustainable and effective tourist development. This event is a chance for the host city of Hai Phong and other provinces to enhance their cooperation in creating unique products for the Red River Delta.

Various activities have been held to mark the launching of the National Tourism Year, such as Unicorn, Tiger, and Dragon dances, the Trang Trinh Temple festival, and a fishing competition.
