(VOVworld)- Dung Quat Shipbuilding Company in Quang Ngai province resumed its production on Thursday. More than 1,000 engineers and workers began to build two new ships under a contract signed with Vietsopetro.
This year, the company plans to launch a 105,000-ton oil tanker, complete the 104,000-ton ship and gain 1.2 trillion dong in revenue. This month, the company will hand over the Tam Dao 1 oilrig to its customer. Nguyen Van Hoi, Chairman of the Board of Members of Dung Quat Shipbuilding Company says: “After Tet, we aim to complete the Tam Dao oilrig so that we can hand it over to our customers by the end of February. After that, we will complete the 104,000-ton ship and launch the 105,000-ton oil tanker. This year, we will also build 2 new ships”.
Farmers in Son La province began their work on Thursday after New Year holiday. Dinh Thi Than, a farmer in Ban Puoi hamlet in Phu Yen district says: “We don’t forget our work even during happy Tet days. We began our work today, prepared water and seedlings to cultivate a new crop. We had a favorable working day today and we hope that the weather will be favorable this year so that we can have a bumper crop to improve our lives”.
The same day, more than 500 engineers and workers at Duyen Hai 3 Thermo Power Plant Construction site in Tra Vinh province began their work. Once completed, the Duyen Hai 3 Thermo Power Plant will contribute greatly to the country’s power supply and socio economic development in Tra Vinh province in particular.
