Overseas Vietnamese in Australia support Truong Sa students
(VOVworld)- Overseas Vietnamese people in Australia have donated more than 12,000 AUD to help students in Truong Sa or Spratley Archipelago. Ms Truong My Hoa, former Vice President and Chairwoman of the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund has praised overseas Vietnamese community in Australia for their valuable support to the movement “For beloved Truong Sa students”. Vietnamese Ambassador to Australia Hoang Vinh Thanh said the program "For beloved Truong Sa students” has contributed to cause of protecting and affirming the sovereignty of the territorial waters of Vietnam.
In the Wesley Mission Theater in Sydney on Friday, a program featuring Vietnamese folk songs and songs in praise of the homeland was held. President of the Vietnamese Dynamic Students in New South Wales, the host of the event, said that a lottery was held within the program to raise fund to respond to the program “ Contributing stones to build Truong Sa”.
